Gianna Friedl, a Milwaukee-based artist with her BFA in Printmaking and Book Arts at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She practices primarily with traditional printmaking processes such as screen printing, lithography, and relief. Friedl creates work that reflects on the complex relationships between the natural world and personal experience. Her work centers on the qualities of water, specifically Lake Michigan as a resource, place of memory, and inspiration.
